Whether you are moving house, flat, or offices here are a few tips to help you have a stress-free move,
• Book your removal as soon as you can.
• A map showing your new address and a contact telephone number is always helpful.
• Package and box as much as possible.
• Avoid overloading boxes.
• Label each box clearly, and indicate the following:
(a) Which room it should go in
(b) Whether it is fragile
(c) If it should be loaded last so it will be unloaded first.
Just before your moving day…
• Drawers: Leave drawers as they are but do not lock them. Avoid over-filling chests, sideboards or drawers.
• Plan: Work out where you want your possessions in the new home - drawing a plan is helpful. Make sure someone is at the new house to show where things go.
• Flats: You will need priority for the lift! If the lift is small (or non-existent) please warn us in advance
• Unloading: You've seen the new house, we haven't. Warn us about unexpected hazards such as poor access, small doorways, spiral staircases or trees etc.
• Spare key: It happens all the time - the van is at the new house before the owner. If possible, give us a key.
• Checking out: Before you leave the house, check the rooms to make sure nothing has been left behind.
• Packing Materials: If you’re packing up yourself, our packaging materials can be bought at competitive prices.
